Privacy Policy for Chess Siege
Effective date: June 22, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Megabyte Games ("we", "us", or "our") handles information when you use the Chess Siege mobile game (the "Game"). By using the Game, you acknowledge the practices described in this policy.
1. Information You Provide
Chess Siege does not currently require an account and does not ask you to provide your name, postal address, phone number, or payment-card details. If you contact us by email, we receive your email address and any information you include in your message.
2. Information Stored on Your Device
The Game stores gameplay information locally on your device, including game progress, unlocked levels and cosmetic items, settings, virtual currency, lives, rewards, and purchase-entitlement status. This information is used to save your progress and provide Game features. You can remove local Game data through your device settings or by uninstalling the Game, subject to your device and platform backup settings.
3. Information Collected Automatically
The Game and its third-party service providers may automatically collect or process the following categories of information:
- Device and app information: device model, manufacturer, operating-system version, language, app version, and general technical information.
- Identifiers: app-instance or installation identifiers, advertising identifiers where available, and related device identifiers.
- Network information: Internet Protocol (IP) address and approximate location that may be inferred from it.
- Gameplay and usage information: level starts and results, tutorial progress, piece placement, feature interactions, session activity, ad interactions, and in-app purchase events.
- Diagnostics: crash reports, stack traces, error messages, failed asset or service information, session identifiers, and device state associated with a crash or error.
- Advertising information: ad requests, impressions, clicks, reward completion, and information used to deliver, measure, limit, and prevent fraud in advertising.
- Purchase information: product identifiers, purchase state, and transaction or entitlement information supplied by Google Play. We do not receive your full payment-card details.
4. How Information Is Used
Information may be used to:
- operate the Game and save or restore gameplay entitlements;
- understand Game usage and improve gameplay, balance, and performance;
- diagnose crashes, errors, and technical problems;
- configure Game features remotely;
- provide rewarded and interstitial advertisements;
- process and restore in-app purchases;
- measure advertising and prevent fraud or abuse;
- respond to support requests and comply with legal obligations.
5. Advertising and Your Choices
Chess Siege uses Google AdMob to provide rewarded and interstitial ads. AdMob may use advertising identifiers, IP address, device information, and ad interaction data to deliver and measure ads. Ads may be personalized or non-personalized depending on applicable law, your region, your device or Google account settings, and the consent signals available to Google.
You can review or limit ad personalization through your Android device and Google account privacy settings. Where applicable law requires consent for advertising-related processing, an appropriate consent choice must be made available before that processing occurs. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that occurred before withdrawal.
6. Third-Party Services
The Game uses the following third-party services:
- Google Play Services for Android platform functionality. Google Privacy Policy
- Google AdMob for advertising and ad measurement. How Google uses information from apps that use its services
- Google Analytics for Firebase for gameplay and app-usage analytics. Firebase privacy and security information
- Firebase Crashlytics for crash reporting and diagnostics. Firebase privacy and security information
- Firebase Remote Config for remotely configuring Game features. Firebase privacy and security information
- Google Play Billing for in-app purchases and purchase restoration. Google Payments Privacy Notice
These providers process information under their own privacy policies and may process information on servers located outside your country of residence.
7. Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell personal information for money. Information may be disclosed to the service providers listed above so they can provide analytics, diagnostics, advertising, configuration, billing, security, and platform services. Advertising-related disclosure may be considered a "sale" or "sharing" under some privacy laws even when no money is exchanged for the information.
Information may also be disclosed:
- when required by law or valid legal process;
- to protect users, our rights, or the security of the Game;
- to investigate fraud, abuse, or violations of applicable terms;
- as part of a merger, acquisition, financing, or transfer of the Game, subject to applicable legal requirements.
8. Legal Bases and International Processing
Where required by law, information is processed based on one or more of the following: performance of a service you request, our legitimate interests in operating and improving the Game, compliance with legal obligations, or your consent. Third-party providers may process information in other countries and apply their own legally recognized transfer safeguards.
9. Data Retention
Local gameplay data remains on your device until it is deleted through the Game or device settings, cleared with the app's storage, or removed by uninstalling the Game, subject to platform backups. Email correspondence is kept only as long as reasonably necessary to provide support and meet legal obligations.
Analytics, advertising, crash, installation, and purchase information is retained according to the applicable Google service settings, contractual requirements, and Google retention policies. Retention periods may vary by data type and service.
10. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, or withdrawal of consent, and to complain to a data-protection authority. California residents may also have rights to know, delete, correct, and opt out of certain sale or sharing of personal information, and to exercise these rights without discrimination.
To submit a request, contact us at bansalmanvendra@gmail.com. Because the Game does not use player accounts, we may be unable to associate pseudonymous third-party data with you without relevant device, installation, transaction, or support information. We may request information needed to verify and process your request.
You may also manage advertising and certain Google data through your Android device settings, Google account settings, and the privacy controls provided by Google.
11. Children's Privacy
Chess Siege is not directed to children under 13, or under the higher minimum age required by applicable law in their country. We do not knowingly solicit personal information directly from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can review and address the request.
12. Security
We use reasonable administrative and technical measures intended to protect information. No transmission, storage system, or security measure can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy to reflect changes to the Game, service providers, or legal requirements. The updated policy will be posted with a revised effective date. Material changes will be communicated where required by applicable law.
